Hi Anwec,

welcome to Wikipedia. It seems like you have not edited any Wikipedia project previously. As you could see, I already notified Tbc in a more friendly way of the discussion. I don't see any need of your threatening statement, since I believe this can perfectly be resolved in harmony (especially since the "threat" of domas seems to be at least partially ironical). Next time, please use the username you also use on other projects. There is no need to hide. Thanks. Effeietsanders 4 jun 2009 12:15 (UTC)Reageren

You seem to be more curious about what usernames I might have used on other projects than about what Tbc is doing with the private data s/he has collected about all the readers of this website for >1.5 years. That doesn't really help to create the impression that you, as a steward, take violations of the privacy policy seriously.
What Tbc did is one of the gravest possible abuses of sysop power. Deleted pages can be undeleted, blocked users can be unblocked, but private data leaked from the Foundation's servers cannot be taken back. You have a point about friendliness, but remember that the warning by another steward in July 2008 apparently wasn't worded clearly enough for this user, causing this mess to continue for almost a year.

Maybe I'm just a little better in achieving results without scaring off people. As you can read in Tbc's reaction, he is perfectly fine with leaving it out, as I suspected. And yes, I find it weird that someone comes to a wikipedia cloaked and starts making threats. Especially because that most likely would have a contraproductive effect.
What Tbc did was in good faith, and although wrong and although he should not have done it, abuse still includes intentional damage, and as far as I can see, there is no indication for that.
If you read back correctly, there was no "warning", it was only removed. Therefore I see no reason not to be friendly, especially since the tool has been taken offline already. If you are interested in what happened to the results, I suggest you ask Tbc (in a friendly way), and s/he might just tell you :) If you really have a problem with it, you can of course file a complaint at the Ombuds Committee.
